Visits to Essendene Lodge
Prospective parents are welcome to visit the school at any time for a personal tour with our Head Teacher, Mrs Kishwar Ali. Please telephone the school office to arrange an appointment.
We also hold several Open Mornings throughout the school year. Parents and children are very welcome to attend any of these days. Details are available from the school office.
Admission – Foundation Stage
Entry to our Pre-School takes place at the start of the term in which the child turns 3.
Priority is given to children in our Pre School Department to follow through to our Reception class. As our class sizes are kept small, we recommend you register for a place in our Reception class as early as possible.
We offer “taster days” and follow a “settling in” procedure to ensure your child is happy and confident in their new surroundings.
KS1 & 2
Entry to Years 1 – 6 is based on availability. Your child will be invited to spend a “taster day” with us where they will have an opportunity to meet the teachers and pupils. We are an inclusive school and no formal entrance tests are required. We offer academic scholarships to children entering Year 3.
A completed application form and a non-refundable deposit of £100.00 is required to register for a place at Essendene Lodge.
Fees are due and payable on or before the first day of each term unless prior arrangements have been made to pay fees monthly by standing order.
A discount of 5% will be allowed on fees for a second sibling, 10% for a third. This does not cover optional activities.
The school is registered with Surrey County Council to offer Early Years Funding for 3 and 4 year olds. Please contact the Bursar for further details.
A full terms notice is required, in writing, to withdraw a child from the school failing which a term’s fees in lieu of notice will become payable. Notice must be provided on or before the first day of the Autumn, Spring or Summer Term.
Any parent accepting an offer of a place at the school will be charged one term’s full fees if the pupil fails to take up the place without giving the school a full term’s notice.
